If you’ve sent money to your Mimo wallet and it hasn’t appeared yet, don’t worry, your funds are safe while being processed. In most cases, payments made via Faster Payments arrive almost instantly, but sometimes there can be a short delay.
Why might there be a delay?
Once you’ve made a payment, your banking app may show that the funds have left your account. However, some banks temporarily hold or review the payment before it is actually released. This can happen if the bank’s fraud-prevention systems flag the transfer for additional checks, for example, if:
it’s your first time paying into your Mimo wallet
the amount is larger than usual
the transfer looks different to your normal payment pattern
These reviews are required under UK financial regulations and help protect customers from fraud and financial crime. These checks are also carried out entirely by the sending bank and are outside of Mimo’s control. We don’t have any visibility or influence over the bank’s internal review process, but such checks are a normal and important part of keeping your funds secure.
Most Faster Payments reach the recipient within seconds and almost all by the end of the next business day, unless a hold is placed for fraud or compliance reasons.

Most payments appear within a few hours once the bank completes its review.
2. Check with your bank
If the payment hasn’t arrived after one business day, contact your bank to confirm whether it’s still being reviewed or delayed.
3. Rest assured
Your money remains safe throughout this process, it’s simply waiting to be released by your bank.
