Top-up and Pay
With Top-up and Pay, you can make payments directly through Open Banking, using our trusted partner Plaid. This means you log in to your bank, approve the transaction, and the payment is processed without needing to move money manually. You can use both connected and unconnected bank accounts, and add multiple accounts if required.
Good to know
If you schedule a payment, the funds are withdrawn immediately but held safely in your Wallet until the payment date, when they are automatically released.
To add a connected bank account, go to Settings > Bank Accounts and follow the setup steps. Once added, the account will be available as a payment option in your flow.
Mimo Wallet
Mimo Wallet works as a digital wallet, giving you a simple and flexible way to fund and manage payments. To use the Wallet, you’ll first need to top it up. You can currently hold funds in GBP, EUR, and USD, and transfers can be made in all three currencies.
To find the transfer details, go to Wallet in the left-hand menu and select the wallet you want to top up. You can either click directly on the wallet (flagged by currency) or click Manage funds in the upper-right corner to display the account details.
From here, you can choose between local or SWIFT as the payment rail.Fees and transfer times vary depending on the rail used (e.g., Faster Payments, SEPA, SWIFT, or ACH). You can find more details about transfer times and costs [here].
Good to know
If you schedule or set up a payment for the same day but don’t yet have enough funds in your Wallet, you won’t be able to complete it immediately. However, you can still send the payment for approval. Once approved, the reviewer can transfer the required funds to the Wallet before executing the payment.
Mimo Flex
Mimo Flex is a pay-later service in the Mimo platform that helps eligible businesses manage cash flow by deferring invoice payments. You can delay payments to suppliers by 30, 60, or 90 days, giving you more flexibility in how you manage your finances. When you schedule a payment with Mimo Flex, your supplier is paid upfront by Mimo, and you repay Mimo on the deferred date with a clear, fixed fee.
Mimo Flex is available to selected businesses, subject to credit approval. You can apply during onboarding or later by contacting support. If you’re eligible, you’ll find all your activity - including your available credit, credit used, and statements - under Accounts > Mimo Flex.
Good to know
If you already have Mimo Flex, you can simply select it as a payment method.
If you don’t yet have access, you’ll be able to apply directly in the payment flow.
