How to Clear Your Cache

Clearing Your Browser Cache: Step-by-Step Guide

Google Chrome

1. Click the three dots in the top right-hand corner of your browser.

2. Select Settings.

3. Scroll down to Privacy and Security.

4. Click on Clear browsing data.

5. Check the boxes for browsing historycookies, and other site data, as well as cached images and files.

6. Set the time range to All time.

7. Click Clear Data.

Internet Explorer

1. Click the cog icon in the top right-hand corner of your browser.

2. Select Internet options.

3. In the pop-up window, please select the General tab.

4. Under Browsing history, click Delete….

5. In the new pop-up window, tick Temporary Internet and website files. You can choose to tick or untick any other boxes as you wish.

6. Click Delete in the bottom right-hand corner.

7. In the original pop-up, click Apply and close the window by clicking the X in the top right-hand corner.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click the three horizontal lines in the top right-hand corner of your browser.

2. Select Options.

3. In the left-hand menu, click Privacy.

4. Under the History section, click Clear your recent history.

5. Set the time range to clear today.

6. Click the arrow next to Details and ensure the Cache is ticked and Cookies are unticked. You can choose to tick or untick any other boxes.

7. Click Clear Now in the bottom right-hand corner. You can then close the Options tab.

Safari

1. In the top left-hand corner of your screen, click Safari.

2. Select Preferences… from the dropdown menu.

3. In the pop-up window, click the Advanced tab.

4. Tick the option Show Develop menu in the menu bar.

5. Close the pop-up window.
