Can I be part of more than one practice account?

No, users cannot be members of multiple practice accounts. While clients can be part of several practices, admins and contributors are restricted to one practice account. However, you can still hold individual memberships outside of a practice. This means you can manage clients within a practice account while also being a member of another client organisation independently.

Can clients belong to multiple practice accounts?

Yes, clients can be linked to multiple practice accounts. This allows clients to collaborate with different firms or teams within Mimo as needed.

How do I join an existing practice account?

If a practice account already exists for your firm, you won’t be able to create another one. During the sign-up flow, we’ll notify you if a practice account is already in place. In this case, we recommend checking with your firm to identify who manages the practice account. They can then invite you to join as a member via email.

How do I join or create a practice account for a group or separate office?

If a practice account is already connected to your domain, you’ll need to contact the owner within your firm to be invited. However, if you’re part of a group structure or a separate office, you can create a new, independent practice account to manage clients separately from the existing practice. This ensures each office or team can operate independently while still being part of the broader firm structure.

How do I create a new practice account as a new Mimo user?

If you’re new to Mimo, you can create a practice account during the sign-up flow by selecting the option to sign up as an accountant and selecting the option to create a new practice account for your firm during registration. Alternatively, if a client invites you to Mimo as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, you’ll also have the option to set up a practice account during that process.

How do I create a practice account as an existing Mimo user?

If you’re already using Mimo and want to create a practice account to manage your clients in one place, you can do so from the Settings page in the platform.


Member & Client Removal

How do I remove a client from the practice account?

If you no longer work with a client and want to remove them, admins can do this from the Clients page. The client organisation and its members will still be able to access their account on the platform. However, if you delete a client from the Clients page, all memberships linked to the practice account will be removed along with the practice-client relationship.

How do I remove a team member from the practice account?

Admins can remove members from the practice account via the Clients page. By selecting the practice member and clicking the three dots next to their profile, you can remove the member from the practice account.
