Managing client services and permissions

Updated today

Manage client services and access

From the practice overview, you can see all your clients, the Mimo services they use, and your role within each client organisation. From here, you can also manage the services enabled for each client, e.g., adding Mimo Pay to a client using Mimo Associate, or enabling Mimo Associate for a client already using Pay.

Add services for an existing client

To add another Mimo service for a client, open Clients in the practice overview and select the relevant client. Under Client details, you’ll see the services currently enabled and can add additional ones.

  • Add Mimo Pay

Adding Mimo Pay allows you to manage supplier payments, run payroll, and set up approval workflows with audit logs. Once the service is enabled, you’ll be guided through the required setup steps before payments can be processed.

These typically include verifying the company through KYB onboarding, inviting members who should have access to the account, creating approval flows, and optionally applying for Mimo Flex to access working capital. After completing these steps, the account will be ready to use Mimo Pay.

  • Add Mimo Associate

Adding Mimo Associate gives you access to Mimo’s AI-powered accounting tools.

During setup, you can choose which Associate services to enable: Bookkeeping, Review & Adjust, or Full service for a complete month-end close workflow.

You’ll then complete the short setup process by connecting the client’s Xero account and adding the required accounting details. Once finished, the client account will be ready to use Mimo Associate.

Roles and permissions

Client members

Client roles depend on which service the client is using. In Mimo Associate, client members can be assigned either Client Admin or Client Contributor access. In Mimo Pay, client members can be assigned one of the default roles (Contributor, Approver, Payer, or Admin) or a custom role with specific permissions enabled.

Practice members

Practice members’ access also depends on the service. In Mimo Associate, practice members added to a client account through the practice overview have Admin access by default. In Mimo Pay, practice members can be assigned any of the available Pay roles (or a custom role) depending on the level of access required.
