Sending payment reminders supports timely payments and keeps your cash flow steady. Mimo offers three flexible options: smart reminders, customisable reminder workflows, and manual reminders. Here’s how each option works to fit your needs.

Smart reminders

With smart reminders, Mimo takes care of follow-up for you. Simply enable this feature for the customers you want managed, and we’ll customise each reminder flow based on the customer’s unique payment behaviour. By leveraging data such as past payment patterns, Pay Scores, and payment methods, Mimo designs an optimised reminder schedule tailored to each customer.

Mimo offers three customised workflows based on customer payment history, adjusting reminders for late payers, average payers, and timely payers according to their recent habits. The automated reminders are sent via email, with the frequency and timing tailored to each pay score—ensuring follow-ups are efficient and targeted. To enable smart reminders, go to the Customers section in the left menu. Select the, click on Settings, and toggle on Smart Reminder as in the image below.

Reminder workflows

While smart-reminders manage the process for you, reminder workflows offer greater control. You can define both the audience and the reminder sequence, customising workflows to meet the specific needs of each customer or customer group. This flexibility lets you tailor your follow-up strategy to better align with unique customer behaviours. Find our step-by-step comprehensive guide here for creating tailored messages, adjusting timing, and managing customer flows.

Manual reminders

If you prefer hands-on control, Mimo enables you to send ad hoc reminders manually. Select multiple invoices for the same customer, and Mimo will compile them into a single email listing all outstanding invoices. Alternatively, you can send batch reminders to multiple customers at once, with each receiving an individual email. After choosing the invoices to be paid, you can customise each message to suit the specific customer, as shown in the image below.
