By setting a planned date, you can prepare payroll in advance — giving you time to review, make edits, and ensure everything is in place before sending it for approval or making the payment. The feature allows you to upload the file and keep it as a draft while you finalise details, so nothing gets missed.
Creating a draft
To create a payroll draft, start by uploading your payroll file. Once the upload is complete, you’ll see the option to add a planned date in the bottom-right corner. After selecting a date, your payroll file will be saved as a draft and grouped under that date in the Planned Dates section.
If needed, you can continue preparing the payroll by editing the file, confirming bank details, or verifying account information — all changes will be saved within the draft. This makes it easy to ensure everything is ready before sending for approval or proceeding with payment.
Updating a planned date
If the planned date needs to be changed, simply click on the draft card under Planned Dates and select the option to change the date. Choose a new date and confirm.
Removing a draft
To remove a draft, open the relevant card under Planned Dates, click the trashcan icon, and confirm that you want to unassign the planned date. If a draft is removed, the payroll file will be discarded and cannot be retrieved. You’ll need to re-upload the file to create a new draft.
