Importing prepayment schedules

Import prepayment schedules

Bring your existing prepayment schedules into Mimo so you have a single source of truth instead of maintaining spreadsheets. Rather than starting from scratch, you can import your ongoing schedules and let Mimo manage the monthly releases and journal publishing to Xero.

How to import the existing prepayment schedule

  1. Go to Adjustments and select Import schedules.

  2. Drop in your Excel prepayment schedule.

  3. Choose the month from which Mimo should start calculating the opening balance.

  4. Mimo will set up your schedules and releases automatically.

What schedules do

Schedules generate journal entries for initial recognition and monthly releases, which sync to Xero. Journals publish nightly, and you can also publish manually when needed. If auto-publishing is enabled, journals publish automatically based on your schedule. Xero lock periods are respected throughout.

Allocation options

Your schedules can use:

  • Straight-line monthly allocation

  • Automatic service period detection

  • Custom allocations for non-standard patterns

  • Rolling prepayments (start with a balance and decide releases later)

Limitations

Multi-line invoices where one invoice contains multiple schedules may require manual setup for some lines until full line-level support is available. Late invoices can also require manual adjustments to allocations in some cases.
